Can someone please share some light? Executive director to lead 2-3 teams (total 20-24 engineers) in the area of analytics? Area: Texas Current TC: 280k

What’s your level at Amazon ? I don’t think they would go much above 280K in Texas for ED (they would not go much more than that even in NYC) but see how it goes. Also please note that the bonuses if not guaranteed are not confirmed.

The range is pretty broad, anywhere from low to mid 200s for recent promote, up to around 350-400 for nearly MD. 20 to 24 engineers is a fairly small team for an ED, so figure on the lower end, high 200s to low 300s if you negotiate well. Also keep in mind at JP, your bonus will start to include equity at the ED level, and your TC should be high enough that they stop matching your 401k contributions (they are required to do this by law since JP has lots of low level employees who make little 401k contributions, which means that highly compensated employees can not get 401k matching)

All my experience/reports are in JC or India so I'm really not sure. From what I've heard, contrary to popular belief, is that Texas salaries shouldn't really be all that much lower, but that's all hearsay.
