Hey, quick question has anyone interviewed at JUUL before and been asked to sign an NDA before the initial interview? it’s for a non technical role. Is it standard NDA as it’s not mandatory, but they consider it to be “highly beneficial” to everyone involved. Im not too familiar so I’m erring on the side of caution. I wouldn’t want to be put out of the running for the role :/
I did the interview for the technical role. The reason they ask you to sign it is because then they can freely talk about the vision, what’s in the pipeline, etc. like Facebook said, every company asks you to sign one and juul is no different.
Ah thanks! Just curious how was the interview process... if you can speak about it, haha
So my experience was a little odd. I was interviewing for a full stack role. I crushed their phone screen, then spoke to the hiring manager on the phone. The HM went on vacation after, so they said they will schedule an onsite once he’s back. 3 weeks later they call and tell me their needs changed suddenly and now they’re only hiring senior SWEs, so they turned me down. About 2 months later Altria bought their stake in the company and I read the news about the employees getting the massive bonuses. I had a very colorful vocabulary for a few days after that.
Most of the Envoy check-Ins (or other check-in systems) contain an NDA to anyone visiting an office. This is pretty standard.
If you raise problems about signing an NDA prior to an interview, you’re going to appear difficult and damage your odds of moving forward with the company.
Nda is standard. Look at what Steve Jobs did when HP didn’t make him sign nda
Why do you want to work for a company that spreads disease
I'm not making a judgement on you, rather trying to spread awareness. Juul is promoting a dangerous trend of using their fancy new "non cigarettes", in the pretext of driving people away from smoking. Please read about it and take an informed decision. I would not want to join a company which is definitely a net negative for the society.
Juul is also banned in Europe because they are way more potent than other e-cigarettes
I figure once the downsides of Juul are widely known, its upward trajectory will come to a screeching halt. Why would anyone want to work for Marlboro 2?
