Last year of OPT, probably won’t get selected in the H1b lottery this year either.
Is it better to go to London or Toronto?

I reckon wages probably the same in both places and similar career opportunities?
London is better for overall travel to Europe too but Canada is probably easier for citizenship. Both are fairly diverse (non-Indian south Asian here). Already here in the mid-west so don’t mind the cold in London nor Toronto.

Anyone here who has made the move to UK or Canada?

Any insight is appreciated.

TC: 120K in Midwest.

Come to Toronto! Today with wind chill we got a -30C, the best part was not feeling most of my face after a few minutes of skating.

As a non-Indian choose neither. All you do is park yourself for 1 year outside US (canada/uk doesn’t matter) and then come back to US in L1. You will get GC in ~12 months. Leave Canada/UK or any other country for Indians, who can’t get GC in US.

If you want to secure residency and citizenship asap, including an easy access to US market, not the UK. If you want to have fun, not Canada.

I would ask for an intra company transfer to Europe.

Net savings are prolly similar in Canada to the most cities in EU due to high taxes in Canada.

One might get better culture in EU. Canada and Midwest are similar in terms of the weather. So, Europe for me(Not London for the weather tho)

Canadian London is just ~100 miles from Toronto. Consider something in between.
