I've heard many career coaches/recruiters say that coming in at a level you're not immediately prepared for can hurt career growth. Because the proper systems to help you develop as a software engineer aren't there and expectations are higher. I.E being an SDE II but joining as senior.

There are no proper systems in place to develop you as software engineer even as an intern so take this with a grain of salt. Youβll always be thrown in deep end and you have to execute.
Seniors/juniors/C-suite - Everyone messes up, frequency and magnitude is different and debatable.
