hello guys,

I wanted to know as someone on h1 are we allowed to create community on youtube/instagram ? anyways monetizing it takes a long time and not necessarily works out most of the times. so considering if someone wants to do it on the side and not make money rather invest in it , does it have any visa implications?

according to me there should be visa implications only if someone is getting paid via ads or something.

Can anyone whose done it throw more light on this ?

  • Speaking from experience, you won't even be eligible to monetize a YouTube channel until you get 1000 subs and 4000 watch hours. So there's several months at least of work for you to do before money even becomes a factor there.

Yeah I know that there is lot of pre work to be done , just want to be aware about any hidden laws and stuff . So I can buy promotions for my page on Instagram right ? To increase subscribers etc

  • I don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to. Most of the money people make from YouTube and Instagram are off of the advertisements on their content. I believe it would really be up to whatever company wants to sponsor your posts. Also, a lot of companies will incentivize you with free products.

So basically running promotions of Facebook/Instagram for my page is fine right ? Or is that considered a business even if I am not making money from it ?

  • First try and get some views for your content, you can worry about other stuff later.
If you are popular enough people will venmo you gifts.
