I have been a developer for 12+ yrs and my company has gone on a long term shutdown. I dont have a computer science background and so finding it difficult to find a job. Any pointers on how to learn Data Structures and Algorithms? I have tried online courses and books, but they don’t seem to help much. Tech Stack: Microsoft
I found the Sedgewick course on coursera to be more accessible than more theory oriented courses. If online doesn't work, see if you can enroll or audit a college course. Might take some persuasion but going direct to a professor might get you in. But in either case you have to work the exercises and problems. Practice practice...

What do you mean by they don’t seem to help? Start with a book. If it’s too difficult then grab an easier book and work your way up. A good average starting point is Sedgewick’s red book and work your way up or down. If you can’t even understand the most basic book then you aren’t cut out for this line of work son. That probably means what is asked in interviews is rarely you work on in your day to day job.
