I started a position at Walmart Labs as a software engineer contractor 3 weeks ago. A recruitment firm recently contacted me and offered me a position at a bank for nearly 50% more pay as a contractor. The bank position would have a full time option. My concern is that working for a bank will not benefit me in terms of technical growth as much as Walmart Labs. The increased money would result in a significant lifestyle improvement, but I can get by with the current pay. I have 1 year of work experience. How much do people think I should negotiate for at Walmart for it to be worth while.
Fuck Labs, cashier is where it's at bra. WLB is insane
How long is your contact at Walmart Labs?
12 months as stated on the contract at Walmart, the bank has an indefinite date, and I only have verbal agreement to be 12 months with possible full time offer at the bank after that
OP, I see you’re at Walmart now. How are you liking it?

If I were you I will stay at Walmart learn and move to FAANG. Think long term.
Well FaakYou ;), what do you think about learning during my time off. Is the experience at a good corporation irreplaceable by work on my own time (looking at open source code)
