I received a contract offer with the opportunity to transition into a full time position with Aerojet Rocketdyne.
I was wondering how to go about bringing up intentions of leaving with your manager?
I am still a little on the fence as to whether or not I am going to take the position. The contract offer is higher than what i am making now but the initial salary range i was told for the full time position is about the same as my current salary. However, It is in a field I am looking to switch into.
I was planning on mentioning that i received a higher offer to my current manager to see if they might provide any sort of a salary bump. I just don't know if that is the best idea if i am not willing to take the current contract offer and leave right now.
Any advice you could provide would be very helpful! Thank you

Current plan is pitch the offer to my manager and hope they counter with a higher offer at Boeing. Sounds like there’s a good likelihood that they’ll at least give some kind of a bump.
Stick with Boeing for now, assuming I get the bump, and keep applying for full time positions at under space companies in the Seattle area
