There are two primary areas. Hardware operations which is rack and stack, cabling etc. Then data center operations including technicians, and electrical and mechanical engineering. Also, construction management. The mecheng positions are for things like cooling. Mechanical systems in data centers are very complex. Pay depends on ladder, level, location.
