'Hindutva': The Radical Hindu Ideology That Seeks to 'Push Christianity Out of Indiaβ
My first onsite for a full time role. Disappointed with the result but hey, it's a numbers game. I'm used to getting generic rejections for internships but didn't expect one after a process involving two OAs, a recruiter screen, and a lengthy onsite. Also, my recruiter said they'd update me but didn't send my rejection until I followed up - seems like they forgot to update me. Is this normal or did I piss my recruiter off?
It is normal. You will get used to it over the time. Onsite with 6-9 people is exhausting and disappointing at times to hear the negative result after a long wait. Make up your mind that something better is waiting.
Thanks for the kind words. Obviously the negative result sucks here but it's the generic email rejection that really annoyed me. Oh well.
At least some feedback would be helpful rather than generic email but not every employer does that unfortunately. Stay strong πͺ
also had the same experience with them, they said they wanna chat on the phone but they ghosted me lol
Following. I have a friend who is expecting something similar to happen.
Donβt take it personally, on-site process is such BS. I got a generic rejection email from Qualcomm after giving the easiest on-site interview ever
Rejection email allowing you to donate a few dollars to sponsored charity?
Is that how they reject?
how did you feel the interviews went?
Three of the five (regular algo, behavioral, manager chat) definitely went very well. I felt like I did well on the code review but it's possible I didn't as I'm not an expert on OOP principles so I may have missed some stuff there. Algo API round went fairly well but my code didn't run due to missing bracket somewhere that I couldn't find. I also ended up having a cancelled interview due to f**k up on their end so I just asked questions and discussed my interest with the interviewer of that round - recruiter said that was an additional positive signal. All in all, I was optimistic but wary.
