Just got an email from Amazon recruiter that I passed the onsite

It's been hard for me to fight against my low self-esteem. During undergrad, I failed classes and dropped from college, then re-entered years later. I didn't apply internships because I wasn't confident that I could ever be a software engineer. I was lucky enough to get an internship by the time I graduated, but I failed numerous onsite interviews for full time. Amazon is not a dream job in this community especially since the company has been desperate to hire people recently, but it means really a lot to me, and I hope it would be a sign of hope for people who are struggling like me. Keep working hard to improve yourself!

Be more confident. Everyone can be a software engineer, because tech companies are hiring anything alive that can code

    • Its what powers your delivery driver flex app, uber driver payments and a lot more. I was surprised to see that Amazon did not build this itself.

Don’t let the Blind crowd convince you that your offer is anything less than amazing. Your career is just now beginning and that’s something to celebrate. Also, imposter syndrome is a real thing. Fortify your mind before you dive into the deep end with Amazon would be my advice.
