Just had onsite at Facebook for full stack SWE. Here’s how I did. Could the community provide some feedback while I’m anxiously waiting for the official. - design round: just poor :( - behavior round: did great! - coding round 1: two probs, did great! - coding round 2: finished the first, rushed through the second without completing the code, but was able to outline different approaches to solving the problem and their trade offs. (Also have offer from Netflix w/ tc 300+) Yoe: 6 Tc: 180
Can you go in detail about the questions?
He signed an nda - not in his best interest to do so
Yeah but Facebook interviews SWE everyday lol
Mostly reject. Design was poor and could not complete code in cr2.
Might get a follow up design interview. If not, probably a reject
Go with NFLX ftw!
Wow- how you managed to get Netflix with poor design?
Its hard to really know when you “screw it up”, it really depends on interviewer. A lot of design interviewers goal is to push you out of comfort zone to see how you think in such setting. With one design round and 6 yoe you were likely target for e5. Your possible outcomes then: reject, hire at e4, followup design for e4 or e5, hire at e5 (best case). Just wait and see.
If youre at a junior level, with 1.5 YOE, would your design interview be weighted heavily? I haven't had much experience with design at work, although I've been trying to increase exposure. I would be cool with a lower level since I'm a junior
At 1.5 you are either E3 target (no design round), or E4. I would say bar is pretty low for E4. Just don’t bs and try to be organized about what you are trying to do. Communication, asking questions would probably impress the interviewer more than any specific knowledge you try to plug in.
What was the behavioral round like? So there's really only two coding problems?
Two coding rounds, 2 probs per round
You had 4 rounds? One Systems design?
Did u pass op?

How many hours per week would you work for $1M TC
It’s a reject. Design in very important.
Do they weigh it heavily if you're a junior too, like with 1.5 YOE?
