software job title catalog announced at Intel

Intel just announced an internal software job title catalog that buckets employees to specific job titles.
However they got rid of machine learning software engineers and changed them to something related to AI that does not correspond to what they are doing . Maybe to do not need to increase their salary?!

Question 1: Did the data scientist title change as well? For what?

Question 2: if you were a ML software engineer, for which title did they change you for? Can we refuse to have a non-sense tittle?
