How is Apple AIML? Heard mixed feedbacks of it on Blind, including
Cons:
1. Very top down culture and PM driven.
2. Siloed. Each team works independently. Very little information sharing.
3. ML technique/infrastructure is not as good as other large companies like google and meta.
4. Lots of people from google and culture is mixed and wired (in a negative way?).
Pros:
Good pay and refresh
WLB is good in some teams
For people working/worked at Apple AIML What do you think? Are points 1-4 true or false?
If those cons are true. Can you give more details? How does it impact your happiness/wlb and growth?
Thanks!

No. 1 is false (see my comment above).
No. 2 is generally correct, sometimes leading to different teams working on the same problem.
No. 3 is true. Infrastructure has improved, but I'm sure is not as good as meta/google.
No. 4 is half-true. There's a mix, but I don't think it acts in a "negative" way. In general, diversity is a good thing.
Overall, 1-4 don't bother me that much. More bothersome is that the level of talent varies wildly and there are too many wannabe amateurs, but this may be a problem in the ML industry in general, not just Apple.
If you're good and can prove it, then you'll have a good life at Apple AIML.
