Just got news from my recruiter that HC has approved my application (surprisingly) and the comp team has come up with a figure based on my current salary. He will disclose the figures today over a call.

I do not have competing offers and they have my current salary figures. What are the chances of negotiating the offer?
It is probably an L3 offer

TC: 32 lpa
Yoe: 3.5

Edit: The offer is around ~40LPA

You lost the battle when you interviewed without another offer

Btw, was the same case with me too. The recruiter was super nice! One of the best I've interacted with.

I didn't think I was worthy of Google and didn't wanna ruin the chances I got. So I gave them my current TC. A calculated decision, but doesn't matter, G should be worth it.

Wow. Sounds just like my case. I was almost sure it will be a reject and I am not worthy of Google but he did his best to make my case strong. Matched me with a good team before HC and kept me updated about everything he did.

My RSU and bonus is same as yours too. I guess this is their standard offer for no negotiations.

But I've heard salary is never a problem in Google. The hikes and refreshers are great and if you get promoted it's the best.

At such an early stage in your career, don't focus so much on money. Focus on learning, money will follow you. If opportunity is better, go for it even if lower pay for now.

You can learn on your own dime once you make the money.

I would rephrase OP’s comments as this; In the initial stages of your career, look for good mentor ship and a strong like minded team but *never* use this as an excuse to compensate on TC. A good team would be paid well or else they would leave for greener pastures anyways!

      For first round 1 easy 1 medium-hard
Second round 1 easy 1 medium
      Third round 1 medium
      Fourth round 1 medium

Honestly I feel very lucky because I was 80% sure I won't get an offer. Messed up some of the rounds. But I am always very self critical so it might be that as well.
