I am a recent graduate with some audit experience but no IT experience. However, my MS in in a STEM program. I’m looking to solicit some insights into the Cyber security field. Currently I am looking at the below: Does anyone know what it is like in the Cyber Security Consulting at KPMG? Maybe WLB, Compensation, Project staffing? Anything else relevant worth knowing? Thank you in advance!
I’m actually in one of the big 4 - Auditing and Assurance and its hell! Wont allow me to switch service line because they need staff for auditing. Hence why i am looking into areas that i am interested in.
Sorry but they are all the same! I’ve got solid sources who worked there and it’s a living hell. Your best bet is to move to tech (most finance companies are similar)
With post covid not sure of wlb but before it was bad. Travel time is ur personal time. Pay is below avg if you are not negotiating well. Staffing is based on who u know (u know this game being at Deloitte). But, cyber is a niche field. If u get into it and do good, u ll be fine.

I agree, unless he will take his job there as a stepping stone.
There are better places, even startups pay so much better
