I work for IT Risk Advisory in the Midwest and it’s basically IT Audit. You essentially are told by the internal/external auditors what applications are in scope that you’ll have to test (test as in making sure they’re in complaint with whatever accounting standards are in place) for them to gain comfort around Other than that you’re doing SOC Audits which means you’re testing third party applications (cloud based applications) to make sure their in complaint with whatever accounting standards are in place This is what I do and there’s no coding. But there are a lot of other areas and this specific role might not be the same as mine
