I recently started a role with Amazon, but shortly after got recruiters from Facebook, Google and others reaching out to me. Would it make sense to accept interviews while I'm still pretty fresh from interview prep and not burn my once-a-year interviewing pass, or just lay low and enjoy my new TC? What's the worst that would happen if I left Amazon after only a few months? Thanks. YOE: 5 TC: 230k
Dude there will always be new roles out there, you have good TC, great company, just stay and enjoy it for a while. Unless you actually dislike it
Do a favor to amzn, leave
Leave amazon
You will get marked not eligible for rehire most likely. Since you already have a job, you can always do the interviews w/ 2 possibilities: 1. Get an offer which is likely valid for a year. Get your year at Amazon and switch over. 2. Donât get an offer, prep while being at Amazon or look for a better team within Amazon & reinterview at those companies after the 1 year cool down. As much as I hate on Amazon, it doesnât make sense to become unregretted attrition/get marked unrehireable due to âbut better FAANGâ impatience
Same boat and im prepping lc to jump rn.
Did they reach out because you updated your company name in LinkedIn ?
Just take the interviews and get offers. If the offers are good for a year, you can plan to stay at Amazon for approximately a year and move on; it would also act as a nice safety net in case you end up on a bad team.
Do it
