Second one was the real layoff due to covid. Covid is something no business folks have experienced with. Very minimal impact on engineering.
Couple of things for you to think:
- Growth post pandemic has been outstanding.
- they are hiring rapidly, and have become cognizant on who they are hiring.
- this space is quite untapped, few competitors, but the whole space is growing rapidly. Several big companies will be born in this space. It does feel like Keeptruckin has a fair shot to be one.
they are little bit tricky on financial side. they did quite a bit of lay off last year and cutting salaries. they also closed down entire freight business. I am nkt sure if they are going to raise another round soon.
If they go public its good for employees, but if they get acquired it will be different deal.
culture wise it’s mostly folks from india. A little bit of politics but nothing which bothered me. its a RoR and golang shop.
As a company it has potential - for shareholders in long term and for employees in short term.
