Current TC 200k YOE 2.5

I just got contacted by a Netflix recruiter. How can I ace the interview? I am very strong in the fundamentals and have no problem with LeetCode style problems. But for some reason companies always put me on new and R&D style projects. So Iโ€™ve been working in all kinds of things including web frontend, web backend, graphics, iOS, Android and algorithms, so I probably only have 0.5 year of experience each. How can I ace Netflix interview? I heard they really care about candidatesโ€™ experience.

Just give it a try. Being generalist has also its positive side.

Iโ€™ve been labeled โ€œJack of all tradesโ€ twice. I am afraid of being humiliated for not knowing some knowledge of things I claimed Iโ€™ve worked on. I can look it up at work. Thatโ€™s how I managed to deliver when I was assigned something Iโ€™ve never done before. But during an interview I may just stand there like a fool.

    • Don't think being a generalist would help at Netflix. Their interviews are specific to the role. So if you're interviewing for iOS you should know your shit in and out. Leetcode won't help

Be the right person for the job, and show that this is true. Also, don't be a jerk.

Create 2 profiles. Use the first one as a dummy. Fake companies and fake education. Do the interview...then schedule a second interview with your real profile. This is how I got in Google.
