      Okay maybe not most. But many still have it in their job descriptions. Anyone can switch careers though.

      There are plenty of roles that do not require that. Depending on the role, the fact that you were previously an engineer could play hugely in your favor if you know how to help translate design to dev.

  • Shortcut: Do a bootcamp and make a portfolio with good visuals and motion design and 3D illustrations, and some mobile screens. Ideally: go to a design school and do masters. With swe background you could switch to being a ui developer immediately.

    I have recently switched my role from SWE to UX design. Enrolled in a bootcamp & got an internship position after 2 months of my career switch. Market is pretty good right now! Do your best, ul def find a job soon.!!
