Guys I'm planning to move to Seattle from India and will soon have a visa interview. Can you guys share your visa interview experiences? What questions were you asked and how did you prove your specialized knowledge, also about experiences where visa was rejected and you know the reason why..
It will probably be very straightforward. Use superlative words like "I'm an expert on blah" instead of "I'm experienced in blah". For me, it was a <1 minute interview with "How long have you worked for Microsoft?" and "What specialized knowledge do you have?" To which I answered "I'm an expert in the internals of <my product name>, which is the the team I work in right now and the team I will work in in the US"
Similar story. I was in and out of the embassy in about 15 minutes. I was asked what I do for my company and what city I work at.
To those that reply - please also indicate when you had your interview
In 2017
Surprised to see no trolls
When do you have the interview? Its 90 days waiting time for appointment now.
How was your experience op)
mine interview is lined up .. How was your experience ? what was asked?
The 3 questions I had. 1 How long have you worked in the company? 2 What is your role? 3 In which city will you be working? OK, Approved.
Same. But I'm not from India, I'm sure they will be stricter
