Could someone explain how PTO accumulation works? My benefits summary just says 21 PTOs but doesn't mention how they're accumulated. Joining FB later this year, but given that holiday season is coming up, I was hoping to visit family (plan on taking the week of XMAS off), and idk if that would be possible depending on how the PTO is accumulated.

I think you can go to negative 10 days. I'm in the same boat

  • Go to workday and check how many PTO days you have by a certain date.

Would also be useful to know which days FB gives off for the holidays!

Oh gotcha. What do you mean by 11 or 12 PTO for holidays?

I mean that they give you either 11 or 12 fixed days off for Holidays. I can't remember if it was 11 or 12 and don't have the benefits in front of me right now to confirm.

I think it was like 2 days for Christmas. 2 days for new years. 2 days for Thanksgiving. Then like several 1 day holidays for labor day, memory day, MLK, 7/4 (might have been 2 days), president's day (?), maybe something else

It’s basically just accumulated over the year at the proportional rate to time worked
