L5 Amazon offer to L62 Microsoft offer

I wanted some feedback on my offer I received from Amazon in 2016. I’m expecting an offer from Microsoft (L62, PM2) so I wanted to make sure my expectations are accurate. Here’s what I got from Amazon in 2016. L5 (I found out it was an L6 after the fact, but they down leveled me) Marketing Specialist II Base: $120k Sign on: $60k RSU: worth $70k at sign on Thoughts? What should I expect from Microsoft? I’m a PM (hybrid tech/non-tech) with four years of experience. Thanks, all.

Ms can beat this easily.

For L62 you can get a base of 135(minimum), 50k sign on + upto 15k relocation. 120k stock.

Similar role as OP and offer that came through a few weeks ago and recruiter said they were capped at this level/job type @70-80k for stock.

Pure bs. PM and Engineering roles college hire at 59 are getting between 80k to 120k. Based on University and whether they have a competing offer etc.

Do PMs make less than engineers at MS?

No

PM makes less than dev everywhere.

Right. This person is going for lv.62 PM. Why would they get 135k? What would the lv.62 Dev make?

As far as I know, devs and PMs are on the same band per level (depending on org/discipline) at MSFT.

Workwise L5 is a much better option as at this level you can take the calls much more independently than 62.
