im not familiar with this “L4-L6” payscale lingo...ive been a contractor for most of my profession until recently. What does this equate to? is there a pay scale for these “L4-L6” levels?
Yes, “L” means “Level” but what does the # represent? Is it a specific range like $180k-$230k”? Or is it “manager”? I’ve read a lot of folks converse from different companies agreeing/disagreeing to accept/reflect L5 or L6 as if they know the amount of compensation or position level but I don’t see that anywhere. Is it specific and shared between major companies? I have an L8 but that’s not comparable to the salary which people have been discussing so I’m wondering if there is a pays ale which everyone knows what the salaries are
I was literally telling you to go to the website https://www.levels.fyi/ here they map levels between different major tech companies, mostly on the software engineering side
Ah, I didn’t know you were referring to a website. I got it. Thank you so much
