Recruiter has requested TC range and I’m trying to get a sense of what to say. Role is L6 Advisory Consultant for healthcare. Assumption is travel will be 75%. Location in NYC or Seattle. Background YOE: 8 years, top 10 MBA Yearly Comp: 135k base / 25k bonus / 25k LTI (3 yr vest) / $16k held in pension (3 yr of 5 yr vest) Location: NYC Current role is very good work life balance with limited travel and flexibility (remote days, summer Fridays, 4 wks vacation). Interested in the AWS role as it seems to be a great team doing innovative work.
If it’s the role I’m thinking of you can reasonably request 250-275, and if you get an offer expect something like 140k, 45 signing 1y, 35 signing 2y, performance incentives of 50ish k and 80 RSU on the high end to vest over 4 years. Don’t take that as gospel, there’s plenty of “Healthcare” teams, but that’s the one I know of in proserve at L6. It is a great team doing innovative work. Every day can be remote if you want, that’s not really a consideration. Not sure what summer Fridays are. I think you’d get 3 weeks vacation. You will also have many days where you work late and on weekends depending on your business.
Thank you this is very helpful. This range is in line with what I am hoping for. I’m excited about the role so we’ll see what happens. The summer Fridays is getting every other Friday off during the summer in my current role. My current role has a number of days off: 3 wks vacation, 1 wk off to volunteer, 3 rolling holidays + 8 standard, and 8 summer Fridays.
Ah...I remember something similar from my manufacturing days. Summer Fridays will never happen here. Whether I’m right about which opening you’re interviewing for or not, you will have far less time where you are not monitoring email or doing work in what would otherwise be free time. It’s a rough pace here, not for everyone. I enjoy it, and juggle things around to make sure I get the family and free time that I need.
