    Sure, but their parachutes are fluffy and large.

    Watched my director get the axe, but they gave him 6 months of base severance and another 1 month for every year he worked there. He was also allowed to collect / accelerate his stock vesting to include a full 12 month period AND let him keep health insurance for 6 months.

    I mean shit, I’d get laid off every month if that was the deal.

    Dude had another role lined up 6 weeks later anyway and banked all that cash.

    I wouldn’t worry about folks at that level.

    They don't get laid off... They get retired. Tbh if they make 1M+ a year for like 10+ years, plus whatever they made before that... Why would they care anyways

    Yes at a different company. Not in tech, but usually everyone is on the chopping block when it comes to layoffs. VPs usually get really nice packages to walk away.
