Hi, I interned at Uber ATG during summer 2020 as a computer vision/deep learning intern and had a return offer to join them which I accepted.
Fast forward to winter and ATG gets sold to Aurora, and unfortunately Aurora decides not to hire returning interns. Uber is kind enough to offer us full time roles in core-business.
Fast forward to march, Uber matched me with a team that will have no machine learning/deep learning work despite me requesting them in every email since winter to find me a team that would be a right fit. I am not happy with the team/work I’ll be doing and not sure what to do next. Any suggestions?
1. Should I tell the recruiter/manager I am not happy about the role and if they could find me a different team?
2. Should I join and change teams later? How easy is that to do at Uber?
3. Any chances of Aurora reaching out to us in the near future?
