I had my initial product sense and execution interviews today. My product sense interviewer was late and rushed the entire time which threw me off and I ended up not doing too well nor finishing the example. My product execution was late as well but didn’t rush and we worked through a phenomenal example that resulted in numerous affirmations.

Based on my experience interviewing others I would have been a no hire for sense and a strong hire for execution. I’m wondering how stringent the first round is and if I move forward how bad it’ll affect my leveling.

    • Oh, I didn’t know they did two interviewers for a screen. Bar is even lower than on-site. But either you cleared it or you didn’t. Performance in the screen won’t affect leveling when they have all of your on-site data.

I think exception is if you’re between levels with different loops but recruiter would have told you.

Thanks for the info and context. Fingers crossed it doesn’t ding me too bad. If it does though I’ll be ready for next time.

The interview was scheduled for 45 minutes. The structure was:
      Intros
      Case
      Q&A

That would lead me to believe 30-35 is for the case portion if everyone is on time and starts right away. I’ll say it was a good learning experience as I know how to handle the same scenario in the future.
