I have been in tech for more than 2 years. Switched one company in between and now in Microsoft. I am more stressed and depressed. Even in weekends I can’t completely get my mind out of thinking work and dealing people. Can I take a one year break and go to my home country to just not work. I don’t have visa issues. Is it a good idea to do that? I still have mortgage to pay in the USA and is it a red flag to have gap in resume in such an early stage??

I’ve been in tech for 15 years before I started thinking of leaving. That said, the first 10 years were outside or bigtech, so I enjoyed my work for the most part. It’s faang and US corp culture that made me hate Tech.
Maybe try to find a smaller software company, not focusing on TC
