I’m currently in team matching phase with Google, and my preferred location is NYC, but unfortunately NYC candidate pool is extremely competitive and very hard to find a team.
So I’m considering other office locations in the east coast. Bay Area/SEA/Other west coast is out of my choices since I don’t like the environment there. East coast/East timezone only.
1. So does anyone have recommendation for which office should I mention to my recruiter for extra team matching?
2. How large are those offices and is it easy to get matched with a team?
3. Is there a pay cut in those satellites offices and how much?

Both have fairly large (~1000) engineering presence, mostly working on search I think.
Also how much is the pay cut?
Boston office was primarily for tie ups with MIT imo. They have a networking team, C++ libraries team, Kernel team there
