Besides connectivity experience, do try to leverage your time with any particular industry (for example automotive, manufacturing, any other b2b space you have spent longer time @ Verizon)

I am in similar space, but new to tech. I can share my research from IOT & ML market Ecosystem The three top cloud providers, data wrangling platforms, automotive companies and self-driving companies, the likes of cisco & Ericson and every one trying to play in 5G /IOT will need to be/are verticalizing. Along with heavy industry. They all need connectivity folks and that is where you some in. Also look into ecosystem/partners roles in the same space.
