A lot of peoples dream about joining a Big tech company for XYZ reasons. When the dream came true what changed for you after that you changed the job, updated your LinkedIn profile and started working?
Did you directly got sudden interest from recruiters?
Did your family/friends changed their behavior towards you?
How people reacted when they got to know?

Aside from that, people are mostly jealous and think you have infinite cash and are spoilt at work. They also question your ability to get past the interview and throw the โluckโ word around more than usual.
Welcome
1) Yes, more recruiters reach out. Even when I apply, there's a significant increase in the number of companies that will call. Almost always got a call within 2 days after applying on LinkedIn. Also, I got offers sometimes even when performance was worse compared to the past where I did better but was in a not so well known college and a startup.
2) Distant relatives changed behaviour, they're much nicer to me. Some friends started making me feel bad by saying stuff like money isn't the most important thing, Amazon is not ethical, I'd rather work somewhere else and make less etc. once they found out my TC.
3) Most people just congratulated. Some people wanted to know the role (for some reason they couldn't believe it's SDE), some refused to believe it and wanted to see proof ๐. Some people ask me if I want to go for X degree, Y profession, but are shocked when I share my TC and tell them that SDE is also good.
Enjoy that sweet TC.
Where r u located btw?
