TLDR: Recently broke into tech sales and want to make sure I have resume points so I can continue on this career path.
After being in finance for the early part of my career I recently started my first tech job at a Series A startup. I started on the customer success team but quickly moved to a sales engineer role.
We fired the head of sales the same week I signed the paperwork. I am worried if the startup failed tomorrow if would be difficult for me to find a similar job. I love our product but we have an inbound lead problem, something I have no control over.
Iโm looking for advice, similar experiences, or things I can do to cement my transition to tech sales.

Sounds like a great opportunity to step up. What's your outbound strategy? Why aren't you pestering your marketing team to fix the funnel? Offer to help, identify gaps, bring ideas to the table. I bet your last head of sales had a similar "not my job, not my problem" mentality.
We are a SAAS company, I can give you the details / name in the DMs.
