Lateral movement from Build Tools to Product Dev?
In companies such as Uber/ Lyft/ Airbnb, how much freedom do engg managers have to move around in the org to a product development team after they have spent a couple of years in a build tools team? Or do they have to stick to build and infra for the rest of their careers? Would love to hear from people who have worked in these orgs. YOE: 10 TC: 250k

Why would they be stuck for their careers?
I don’t know, maybe because the two fields are quite different. There seems to be mobility from product dev to infra/build tools. I’m more concerned about the other way round.
