Launch own startup vs go to FB

So i have a new grad offer from FB in may and am also working on a new dating app startup that has garnered serious VC attention. I can build the app on iOS myself and handle all core features as well as marketing on a low budget. The issue is that if the startup takes off i can only delay FB until December and then the offer falls through. I would also be taking on a huge amount of stress at a young age and my dating life is kinda wack so i suspect things will not get better if i spend 100+ hrs on a startup. The plus side would be potentially a high end exit on the startup whereas with FB my TC is capped at 200-300k for a few yrs each yr starting out. If i had a stable gf this would be a no brainer but as odd as it sounds i feel too lonely lately and having time to date is actually a factor :/ (and i suspect FB will be 40-50 hrs a week vs 110+ at startup). Also FB is in Menlo Park and i dont think girls exist there in large quantities so if anyone knows how easy a transfer to NYC is lmk.

The match company has a patent on swiping

they don’t actually, they fought Bumble over it and lost. Also this app uses ML, no swiping :). Can’t reveal too much though, my identity will be leaked

Why not do both?

How would doing both be less work than either one?

I think he meant work at Facebook for stable income while you work on the startup on the side. At least launch an mvp first before you decide to go full time. Judging from prudentials username showing an arm flexing and a snake, it could also mean wrestling your snake using both hands, nom saying

Try the app until December and see what happens

Launch own startup ! If u could get a job at FB once , you can do it again ! Also , you are young enough to take risks ...

Sign me up as a cofounder if we can hire interns from Hooters. Now that would be a hoot

Get the funding and then spend it on marketing like money ain't anything. Then ride on investors back offering freebies till you get a golden parachute like Neumann.

Fb, then do the startup on the side until it gains traction
