Layoff in Booking.com
I saw a post in slack workspace in the morning, one guy saying his contract has been terminated by his manager. I didn’t take it seriously but now it seems his slack and workplace account is disabled. This is a very sad news to break in public. What happened and why? TC -125k YOE - 5+

Contractors usually let go first. That's why they hire contractors. One person is not enough to make any conclusions though.

Contractors are cut everyday for no reason, it’s part of the risk of being a contractor. Not really seeing why this was even posted.
