I got laid off on an L1 visa. I don't have an H1B so can't work anymore in USA. Can someone give me suggestions on what I can do to continue working in USA (day 1 cpt is out of the question) Do you know anyone who has been in a similar situation and what they did? I was told that if my company rehires me back I can work again. How does that work?? Any suggestions on good immigration attorneys to contact.
Are you Indian? If so, there are some loopholes.
Like ? Don’t tell get married to a GC holder.
Yes please. What are the loopholes
Biden is going to issue GC for all illegals so just become and illegal and get the fast track haha
Serious answers pls
There is no other options for you become illegal and hope this passes in congress
OP you can apply for companies in Canada. Is there any grace period by when you have to leave US on L1B ?
I'm sorry to hear this but reason for being laid off?
Covid
I have heard that you can switch over to B1 visa and get some time. Would recommend that you reach out to an attorney and get a sense of the process and timelined

Quitting this Slave life
1.Go back and apply again next year 2. Apply for job and get it before march anywhere and apply for H1 with counselor processing, you would need to re-enter US. 3. DAY1 Cpt? 4. Enroll for a degree and get Opt after graduation
Apply again where ?
Generally companies would give the option for you to go back to your home country as you do not have much option left here in usa other than to convert to h4 if your spouse is in h1
