Layoffs yes Pay cuts not sure But the absence of raises technically counts as pay cuts
The absence of raises is also at VMware? Because at Dell there’s no raises or promotions at all until next FY apparently.
Yes VMware has no raises this fiscal year. There will be very limited promotions effective q4 but rumor is that the budgets are tiny so very few will benefit.
Old news. It’s already happened/happening
This was the second round of layoffs 😖
Yep. People laid off mostly told yesterday. Last day Friday. IT got hit hard. Developers, program managers etc
Yes I’ve seen cuts in IT.
Yes, big layoffs at Dell.
A lot of folks were laid off in dell :(
Yes a lot of ppl in IT getting cut.
6% layoffs
Where did you hear that? That's would be close to 9000 people.
Yes, its 5.8% of the annual operating plan and that is abt 9K globally. Its been happening since July, not 6% NOW, but 6% in total. A large part of what is happening is the ONE model and eliminating redundancies in go to market strategies (sales and support)

Yes on Dell layoffs. No info on VMW.
No pay cuts at VMware. More existing policy of adjusting salary to location clarified and made more transparent. Existing Remote employees will make more in bay (not enough to offset COL) and inversely moving out of bay slight cut.
