Layoffs at GE
I’ve been Program Manager for GE Digital for over four years. Today I was told I’m laid off, and May 15th (1 month) will be my last day. I will get 4 weeks #severance. My whole tenure I’ve busted my hump and made the business a lot of money. It feels like a bad dream. Most of the reason for the layoffs are #reorg, #corporatepolitics, and poor #management. #ge #generalelectric #gedigital #gepower

Yeah, sorry to hear that...we had cuts in our team as well. Lost about 30% of our small group.
Which vertical and teams got affected?
I believe the layoffs were across the board to some degree.. I know for a fact Mfg and PG/OG got hit

Our team is feeling the pinch here in #GEDigital. It feels like it's a matter of when not if we get laid off. Upper management has all but dissapeared into the abyss. The activites my team is asked to do feels more like training your replacement.
Sorry that you're feeling this way. This proves another reason for me not to get too invested in work and do what it just necessary. And, not to love the company too much.
