How else would you let people discretely know to proactively reach out to their friends at Hootsuite in support? Getting laid off can send people into a depression.
Well the person lied and spread a rumor that isn’t true. That’s why I was questioning this. Caused stress to people who shouldn’t have been
But its not actually happening? This post makes me think this was submitted by an ex employee. Its just simply not real

Ya. We missed our targets, we are flabby, and some low performers are being let go. Nothing to see here. Regular business stuff, esp in Jan.
There aren't layoffs but voluntary departures, people that don't want to work for Hootsuite anymore
Really? I know a dozen people in the past month who were not voluntary.
People are voluntarily leaving. The company has too many broken procedures and terrible leadership.
