Its just internal system development... even if you get it you should go for it.
Its comparatively easier to get upgraded internally if you are good.
Interview for SWE is slight tougher. Also then expectation is that you have worked on Heavy traffic.
If you think you desperately wants SWE, I guess convey to your recruiter.... there can be the case that they dont go ahead as they dont think your profile is suitable for it (so take risk only if desperate)
