I've been dressing like a typical tech slob all my life but I've finally started looking into dressing better. I ended up on r/malefashionadvice and it seems so complicated! So many kinds of shoes, sweaters, jackets, shirts, watches, etc. Not sure how much money and more importantly, time, I should be spending on my wardrobe. Some of these redditors spend 500+ dollars on a single pair of shoes. How are they so rich? I feel this is something that takes years to figure out. Kids growing up in America pick it up gradually from a young age. But here I am at 29yo, single, and just getting started.
Anyone else gone through this? Any tips?
Update: yes, I have decent TC. I'm more concerned about the time and effort this is taking. Let's say I have a 10k budget to redo my wardrobe. Where do I go from here?
TC: 400k

1. Dress better, get way more attention from women, feel more confident, and gain respect from people
2. Pretend that humans aren’t drawn to aesthetics and choose to filter out majority of the population.
Humans love things that look good, whether it be cars, nature, food, etc. it’s silly to ignore this hardwiring in our brain and think it’s a toxic trait. You shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover, but most people do subconsciously without bad intentions. You have to play the game to win the game.
