Would you leave G for better career trajectory, given TC is higher and level bump? Or would i be making big mistake?
I would. Google is a mature and strong giant. Splunk is still going though puberty. The only risk I see is, in the event Google acquires Splunk, your level might get compressed.
I wish we could get bought by G lol
No
Definitely do it. Once you have google on your resume for a year or two, you should leave for greener pastures. Google's tc is not as good anymore
Yes, and when a company comes along with an even more ridiculous name you should leave for there.
Lol says the guy who works for a taxi company called uber
You work at Walmart.
Splunk is not a great company. Stay away
If you made up your mind, please join Splunk.
What’s your offer?
Agree with all the bad reviews. Not much "engineering" is happening these days. Also very hard to get the kind of projects that you want to do. If you are looking for fast growth and learning join a startup. If you want to do some work and chill, join Splunk.
Heard lots of horrible things about working at Splunk. Don’t go.
By definition I feel like you should choose “better career trajectory,” right? ... And higher TC. Wow! A no brainer. :)
This.
