I recently joined an admin team (9 total: 4 vendors + 5 FTEs) in Bay Area and their department is undergoing a re-org.

Here are the following that was expected and confirmed on contract:

- entry lvl admin
- supporting 2 directors
- hybrid (optional and allowed IF approved by both manager + sr admin)
- 76k, no sign on bonus but full benefits (dental, vision)

What happened before my hire (overheard from another department):

- 3+ admins left Dec-Jan because CVP didn't promote anyone in the past 2+ years as he promised
-No increase in pay
- The same people who left made their own agreement to leave (left to competitor and start-ups)

What occured during my first month:

- Sr. admin talked shit about new hire for being incompetent behind her back

- Pushed/directed me to do a few 1-1's with that employer to "understand" why she can't do her job. Then report back why and what happened to Sr. admin.

- 2 vendors (1 fired + 1 resigned) got let go of by the same Senior admin in under 1 month

What is currently happening:

- Senior admin disregarded my request to work remotely. Overheard her saying no one will work hybrid under her 😒

- Pulled me aside during her 1-1 only to sit there and hear her aggressive ask why an admin made one mistake

- Assigned a total of 5 directors + managers

- I asked for assistance and told me "you'll be fine"

- New FTE wouldn't want me to leave and is optimistic about me and her changing the re-org 🤷‍♀️

...........................................................................................
I know I haven't been with the company for 6+ months but, maaaaaan it's getting toxic because of a few bad apples.

Should I stay and see how much I can do to make it a better environment for the new hires or too many 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩 that aren't worth it and just leave?

I can add more details in comments if u want to know full context.

This is a super hot job market, specifically Tier 1. You might consider accessing a recruiter and sniffing what’s out there. You’d make way more $ and have better company culture chances.

Thank you so much 😭 yeah I've been applying non-stop since my first week of onboarding at this tech company. So far, only 1 interview and 1 recruiter reached out to an application I did in January
