I’ve been at Boeing for 2 years now on the defense sector working on NASA contracts, but my growth is practically 0 and there are essentially no opportunities to go beyond my current roll. Management has admitted to me that it’s easier and cheaper to keep an engineer in the same charge line than find something better for me to do. A lot of my time is spent waiting for more work and when it comes in it’s not remotely challenging at all.
I’m looking to go to another space company since I love space, and I would like to do something that will make me learn and grow as an engineer. I have my MS in MechE, and consider myself a pretty hard worker.
Can anyone help me out, point me on the right direction, or give me advice?

EDIT: Wanted to add that you have Boeing on your resume so you will definitely get bites. Don't sell yourself short and best of luck in finding something that inspires you
I appreciate that. I think Boeing has a great legacy but it’s definitely had a rough few years. Hopefully it helps get my foot in the door.
Also thank you for offering the referral. I would definitely take any/all help. I’ve heard great things about Blue Origin. I’m not sure if you’re a fan of space, but It’s definitely a great place to be for it.
