If you like the Bay Area then it’s a great time to start renting as rents have dropped quite a bit. If you leave the Bay Area, you may get a year of Bay Area salary elsewhere but it’ll be adjusted down for your new col.

  He means there are crazy homeless people everywhere sleeping/eating/camping/shitting on the street. Businesses are closed or boarded up. Streets are dirty and no one is cleaning it. It’s pretty bad.
