(Not currently at MSFT). I joined a smaller company (DocuSign) recently around the time it went public. Things are good financially but not very happy with my day to day. Recently received an offer from Google for similar comp (given inflated stock since going public) but seemingly better opportunities/prestige. Is it worth burning the bridge and joining? Google is my dream employer btw
Lol. Yes.
Yes
Tc at both places please
Docusign is sort of a boring company. No offense but your product is digital signage. Can you really wake up in the morning and feel excited about that
Maybe one day they'll incorporate block chain into their tech.
If you're working on the service side of things, the technical challenges are the same as you'd see in any other large service. I joined from a server team at Microsoft and don't have much to complain about. If I were the OP, I'd at least give it a couple more months or ask my lead to send me some more challenging projects. It took me more than two months to figure out where the interesting stuff is.
Yes yes yes.
Yes, google is worth it
No, stay where you are docusign is going to the moon
Lol :)
Well duh OP. By the way, what reason did you give to them when interviewing on why you were leaving so soon?
I wouldn't worry at all about that particular bridge given that you'll stamp Google on your resume.

Yes. Your interest comes first. Never do a job where you are not motivated. They will understand that a google offer is something all engineers will take.
