Giving a candidate a difficult ICPC question because they put their LeetCode stats on their resume.

Wait, so they have a more impressive resume and you want to make it...less likely your company hires them? Do you hate your company?

Just ask them the same question(s) you ask everyone else

🙄 people on blind get so triggered about LC. I didn't say it makes the resume impressive, I said it makes it _more_ impressive. Doing that work is more impressive than not doing it. But go ahead, complain about LC interviews some more, blind's favorite thing to whine about

    • I’d actually prefer a setup where I could just send them a link to my leetcode account. I have dozens of clear articles in the discussion session explaining problems that are harder than what’s asked in interviews. It’d be nice if I could skip the leetcode round due to this or if they could just pick a problem from that list and ask me to explain it.

  • What are their stats?

I think give them an opportunity to show their stuff if they are strong with algos. Icpc may be too much

Some ppl put it there to get recruiter attention.

I hate interviewing because of people like you. You’re interviewing the candidate to understand if he/she can do the job that you’re interviewing for, and not to test who’s better at LC using naive problems.

  • I always find it so cringey to put LC stats on resume. It somehow comes across as very desperate. You do know that, some people crack Google with literally solving 100 LC right?
