How do you guys stay motivated after solving a certain number of questions in a day. For me the threshhold is 2-3 questions on weekday and 4-5 on weekend. After that no matter what i have to take a break of few hours and most times dont even feel like coming back to it, although I know from inside that i need to do more to be prepared for upcoimg interviews since few days are left and i am not well prepared. Its just that I feel sense of accomplishment just after 3-4 questions. Any tips? how to keep myself going? or maybe any tips of planning the day out specially weekends for maximum output since theirs scope to achieve much more then at the same time dont get exhausted? Thanks in advance! #Leetcode #Preparation #coding #weekends #motivation
If motivation is down just look at numbers on levels.fyi one more time.
I used to do 2 questions daily after work. Now got into a FAANG. and about to re grind to get into another bigger FAANG.
For how many months did you do that? What about weekends? Where do you work now? Lastly TC? (Sorry, but i thinks that’s the mandatory question) haha
Which company are you in now?
I can do 2 at most regardless of day... I just got into VMware and I think it’s a good place. Mind sharing a reason for the jump?
Congratulations! Politics - lack of growth - slow but that opinion is specific to my team. All the best!
Cool. My new TC is 200k and I live cheaply in TX but I still think I could do better though I’d like to reach Staff first. Hopefully my manager is proactive on this sort of thing
2-3 a day is plenty. Maintaining that output for months at a time is the hard part
Is that the number of ques you were while preparing for fb? Any Tips for weekend preparation and how many did you end up doing in how many months?
Hi Prestige, can you provide referral at fb?
I think 2-3 on weekdays is good. For the weekend switch things up, throw some system design or other stuff to keep you from feeling burnt out/bored.
Same for be. 2-3 NEW questions is Max. I think it's fine.
After sometime leetcoding becomes addictive
Do you like money? My motivation was getting a 400k TC offer from leetcode.
How many months prep? Number of questions? Also how many question were you doing weekday/ weekends? Tips on managing weekends?
Tbh you're asking all the wrong questions. Number of questions and months prep is irrelevant. How many questions I was doing a day is irrelevant. I started with X knowledge is which inherently different from your Y knowledge, and thus, my amount of prep is completely different from yours. What's relevant is how much YOU know and how fast YOU learn. And how effectively YOU can study. If I cracked it in 50 questions, does that mean you'll stop studying at 50? No - you study until you're actually ready. Some people take 300 questions and 5 months, others can do it in 50 questions and 3 weekends. The questions you should be asking are: what tools did you find were effective in prepping? Any tips on how to know if you're ready? Tips on juggling job + interviewing? Tips on negotiation?

I am stupid. The more I solve the more motivated I get. 😞 I guess for smart people solving one isn't that big a deal.
How many do you solve on weekends? I am okay on weekdays 2-3 questions after work time passes by quick you come home do leetcode dinner sleep. Weekends are tough man i start around noon solve 3-4 questions till 4 or 5 which includes lunch time and then i feel exhausted. I mostly go out and end up solving nothing rest of the day when i could actually solve maybe 3 more in evening before dinner.
Haven't been doing LC lately. But when I do. Seeing the percentile after I solve gets me more motivated.
